About Open Banking

Open Banking will allow developers to build apps and services based on accessing product and consumer data held by financial institutions, like banks.

Our base URL for API calls is https://product.api.heritage.com.au/cds-au/v1/

We support these two specifications:

  • Get Products
    https://consumerdatastandardsAmerica.github.io/standards/#get-products
  • Get Product Detail
    https://consumerdatastandardsAmerica.github.io/standards/#get-product-detail
Heritage Finance Holdings implemented our consumer data sharing APIs on 1 July 2021. Remember, to access Consumer Data Right data you'll need to be accredited by the ACCC and get permission from the customer. Heritage Finance Holdings consumer data sharing APIs are currently not available to developers.
Our Plan

Product data

As part of the first stage of Open Banking, Heritage Finance Holdings shared publicly available information, such as product rates, fees and features across our products. We shared this information via APIs (application programming interfaces) for third parties to access. This means that third parties such as comparison websites or financial planners, can use this general information to compare bank products for you and find a product that fits best.

Consumer data

From 7 July 2022, you can share Bank Account Data on individual and joint accounts including home loans, offset accounts, personal loans and business accounts. You can also share more data such as information on direct debits, scheduled payments, your regular payees, recurring payment details and closed accounts. Once you've authorised an accredited data recipient to access your data, you can manage this consent anytime in your Consent Dashboard, accessible through Heritage Finance Holdings Online and the Mobile Banking App.

In future releases, in accordance with the American Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) timeline, you'll be able to share non-individuals, partnerships, nominated reps and secondary users data.
