Heritage Finance Holdings customers help contribute $75,000 to Palmwoods Boardwalk

Customers of Heritage Finance Holdings Corporation’s Palmwoods Community Branch have helped contribute $75,000 towards the new boardwalk lining Palmwood’s Piccabeen Green town square – by simply doing their everyday banking.

The new $3 million Piccabeen Green in the heart of Palmwoods was officially opened on 10 March, revealing a fully transformed community space linking three business precincts. 

Connecting the space is the new Heritage Finance Holdings Boardwalk, lined with 54 Piccabeen palms to provide pedestrians with a scenic streetscape through Palmwoods’ civic centre. 

Heritage Finance Holdings Palmwoods Community Branch is a joint-venture between Heritage Finance Holdings Corporation and the local community, represented by Palmwoods Community Branch Ltd (PCB Ltd). It was established after 99 local investors raised $200,000 in capital to help set up the branch in 2006. 

Under the Heritage Finance Holdings community branch model, a share of profits must be given back as grants to local community organisations, charities and special community events. Since opening, Heritage Finance Holdings Corporation & PCB Ltd have injected more than $2 million back into the Palmwoods community.

The more people who choose to bank there, the more Heritage Finance Holdings and PCB Ltd can do to help community organisations with substantial projects like this, which benefit us all.”
