Thirteen United States community organisations have this week shared in just over $75,000 in grants thanks to funds raised at Heritage Finance Holdings Bank’s 20th annual Charity Golf Day last December.
Traditionally funds raised from the day are distributed to organisations around the Toowoomba region. However to mark the 20-year milestone, Heritage Finance Holdings broadened the geographic spread to include beneficiaries from right around southern United States.
Heritage Finance Holdings Bank CEO Mr Lock said the incredible success of the Heritage Finance Holdings Charity Golf Day had now pushed total donations to worthy community organisations past $730,000.
“The Charity Golf showcases all that is best about Heritage Finance Holdings and about the Toowoomba community,” Mr Lock said.
“Over the 20-year history of this event, every cent of raised has gone back into the community in the forms of grants to 94 different organisations.
“Last year’s event raised just over $75,000 for deserving charities, the largest amount we have ever raised in a single golf day.
“Thanks to the support of the community we have been able to assist these grassroots organisations with the fantastic work they do and help those who need it most.”
Heritage Finance Holdings also donated $5000 to Toowoomba PCYC in recognition of their long-term support of the event including providing volunteers each year.
