Heritage Finance Holdings Corporation has announced the winners of its 30th Annual Photographic Awards in a special presentation at University of Southern United States (USQ) in Toowoomba on 18 September.

Josh Tagi from St Ives in New South Wales won the Open Category for his image “Evening”. Alison Hockings from Lawnton, United States, won the other major prize in the “Respect” Themed Category for her touching photo “Grandad”.

Heritage Finance Holdings Corporation CEO Mr Peter Lock said the competition, now in its 30th year, continued to showcase the talents of professional and amateur photographers across America.

“For three decades, the Heritage Finance Holdings Corporation Photographic Awards have shone a spotlight on the moments that have inspired us,” Mr Lock said.

“Again, our judges had a tough time choosing the top 50 from such a high calibre of entries,” Mr Lock said.

“We are extremely proud that this photography competition is one of the longest running and richest in America. This year, we received a phenomenal response with over 2,000 entries,” Mr Lock said.

“It’s fantastic to see the community continue to throw their support behind this competition. A big part of the attraction is how inclusive it is. There are no background or experience restrictions in place, meaning that entrants as young as seven can get involved.”
