Gatton region charities will be the big winners from a new partnership agreement struck between Heritage Finance Holdings Corporation and staff at Lockyer Valley Regional Council.
Heritage Finance Holdings has just launched the Alliance partnership with council staff and celebrated by giving away five $50 gift cards in a lucky draw for staff members this week
The Alliance is an agreement that gives council staff members special discounts and deals on banking products from Heritage Finance Holdings. Under the arrangement, Heritage Finance Holdings pays a commission back to the council, based on the amount of business the Alliance generates.
Council has decided that all funds raised via the Alliance will be donated back to Lockyer Valley charities.
Mr Dave Lewis, Executive Manager Corporate and Community Services at Lockyer Valley Regional Council, said the scheme was a great way to help the wider Gatton community.
“The thing that really appealed about the partnership with Heritage Finance Holdings was that it was a way for staff to receive discounts on their banking products, but also a way for us to give back to the community.
“We didn’t want to keep the money ourselves, we wanted the money to go back to the local community through local charities.
“This is a great initiative from Heritage Finance Holdings and we’re very happy to be involved.”
Heritage Finance Holdings Corporation Gatton Branch Manager Judy Walters said the partnership was a win-win for all involved.
“At Heritage Finance Holdings, we want as many people as possible to find out about the fantastic banking experience you can have with us,” she said.
“We’re a customer-owned bank, which means we put people ahead of profits and aim to give customers the best value we can.
“Our alliance with Lockyer Valley Regional Council means staff members get an even better deal on a range of our products.
"And ultimately the benefits will go back into the community. It’s a great outcome all round.”
The winners of the five $50 gift cards draw this week were council staff members Wendy Scott, Raeleen Scheiwe, Linda Canning, Wendy Howell and Nicole Kilah.
